Parish Church of St. Martin, Altdorf
The parish church of St. Martin is considered to be the most beautiful classicist church building in Uri. The current church was built after the village fire of 1799. St. Martin stands on foundations that are over 1200 years old. The church is flanked by the St. Anna Chapel, built in 1596, the oldest church in Altdorf, and the Mount of Olives Chapel. The parish center is now housed in the Beroldinger Pfrundhaus and the Marienpfrundhaus.

        St. Anna Chapel
The St. Anna Chapel, built at the beginning of the 16th century, is an integral part of the area surrounding the parish church. It is called the ossuary by the historian Albert Jörger in the art guide. The St. Anna Chapel belongs to the parish church foundation and is used by the local community to lay out the deceased.
