Setenil de las Bodegas is a small town and a southern Spanish municipality (municipio) with only 2,675 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in the east of the province of Cádiz in the autonomous region of Andalusia. Setenil is located on the "Road of the White Villages" (Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos) and was classified as a Conjunto histórico-artístico in 1985.

The name of the town is said to be of Latin origin and means "seven times nothing" (Latin septem nihil). This dates back to the time of the Reconquista. The area around Setenil was a border area between Moors and Christians for around 200 years, and it was only on the seventh attempt that the town fell into Christian hands.
