... from the hiking car park (5.00 euros) near Sachrang (Aschau, Chiemgau) a forest road - also suitable for families - leads to the Priener Hütte (1,410 m); you can also ride (push) your bike (stroller) up and down in summer; depending on the snow conditions, also suitable for a sled. Please bring crampons and/or snowshoes in winter. The well-signposted path speaks of 2 3/4 hours (one way) for approx. 8 km and approx. 660 meters in altitude. A nice challenge in summer (June 30, 2021, July 24, 2018) as in winter (February 13, 2024). The view on the way and on site is really super-wonderful. In the hut you can get everything you need to prevent starvation and thirst at reasonable prices. It is open daily (according to the internet); However, a sign at the parking lot says that it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (except during the holidays) (as of February 2024). The dining room has space for around 50 people. The toilet is super-class, wonderful (very clean, apparently new or renovated). Please check the daily menu because it is not "fixed". It is also possible to stay overnight on site; please "consult" the Internet or call. If you still have time, desire and energy, you can also go further. For example, to the Geigelstein (1,808 m), which takes around 1 hour.
