The Grünelbach, fed by several springs (including the Teufelsquelle), flows sometimes as a narrow stream, sometimes fanned out widely through the valley, tends to flood the path in rainy times, sandstone walls and towers on the right and left, everything is very pretty. Above the Gründermühle, the Chudy hradek castle ruins tower defensively on some of these sandstone pillars; mighty walls still stand. The valley then leads north towards Hohlen, but becomes wider, the path is paved and is no longer quite as worth seeing.
