The suspension bridge is located in Bärental and from it you have a beautiful view of the high horror.

The hanging rope bridge is definitely worth a trip - but the view can be argued.😬 If you do not want to land in the middle of the crowd, but rather enjoy the calm, the following applies: The early bird catches the worm.🤗

New top hiking highlight in the Hohen Schrecke.
    You can argue about it.
But everyone should form their own opinion about it. 🤷🏼♂️

The suspension bridge spans the Bärental now with a 180 m long steel and wooden construction and forms the entrance into the wilderness of the Old Forest. If you follow the soon-to-be-signposted jungle path, you will reach the primeval pearls in Wiegental and Rabenswald.

The construction took place in late summer until autumn 2019, opening on October 1, 2019, bridge construction:
Freely suspended steel structure with wind bracing and wooden floor walkway,
    Length about 180 m
    Walkable width 85 cm
Cable guy with 12 ground anchors
    Max. Slack approx. 5 m
Max. Height above ground approx. 23 m

The bridge brings a little movement to an otherwise rather unknown region for tourists.

Small, fine loop to the suspension rope bridge. It's very interesting to run over it. But once seen, that's enough.

There is sometimes very tall grass on the meadow path. In damp weather, long pants and weatherproof shoes are the right choice!

A major goal of the Hohe Schrecke - Alter Wald mit Zukunft e.V. association is to develop the region into a popular recreational and excursion destination in a way that is compatible with nature. Many measures have already been initiated and implemented in recent years, also with the active support of local residents and companies, not least the development of an attractive network of cycling and hiking trails. In order to continue to be perceived as an interesting region, it is necessary to create tourist highlights. Such points of attraction also enable visitors to be guided in order to relieve sensitive forest areas.
The suspension rope bridge in Bärental serves as a further component of sustainable tourism development.
