'Candi Cetho' is one of several temples on the slopes of Gunung Lawu in Karanganyar, Central Java. The temple complex is arranged along a slope in fourteen terraces at an altitude of approximately 1,450 m. 'Candi Cetho' probably dates from the Majapahit period or shortly thereafter (around the middle of the 15th century).
