In the southern part of the Aschersleber marketplace, not far from the town hall, stands this eye-catching fountain. It has an octagonal base and possesses eight peculiar bronze figures, which carry their roof themselves. The construction of the fountain goes back to a foundation of the councilor hen, from which the artful object also got its name. This work by the sculptor Worba was erected in 1906 on the central square of the city Aschersleben. When the marketplace was redesigned in the 1960s, the Hennebrunnen was moved a few meters from its original location to the south.
