The Hafrsfjord bridge is a concrete girder bridge that runs from Sunde in Stavanger municipality to Jåsund in Tananger district in Sola municipality. The bridge was officially opened on 15 June 1967[1] and is in use today. The bridge is part of national highway 509 and is approximately 220 meters long. It replaced the old bridge from 1925. The Swedish Road Administration has plans for a new bridge in the future which will have 4 lanes, 2 for public transport. Close to the bridge on the Tananger side, you will find a great Viking-era rock with an information board.
