The so-called “Bunte Straße” has a very interesting history.
All the houses used to be white. A hairdresser's owner, whose shop wasn't doing particularly well, asked the city for permission if he could paint his house brightly. He got permission. As soon as he painted his house, the other homeowners asked if they could do the same. You can see the great result today.
