Pulau Padar is an uninhabited island in Komodo National Park. It lies between the two larger islands of Komodo and Rinca in the province of Nusa Tenggara Timur. As far as we know, the well-known Komodo dragons cannot be observed on Padar.
Padar Island has a dry climate and vegetation is limited to bushes and grasslands.
After a short climb to a hill in the south of the island, you have a spectacular view over the island with its numerous deep bays and the steep, striking mountain ridges with volcanic origins.
