Orangerie Kassel

Today the Orangery is the seat of the astronomy and physics cabinet with the planetarium integrated in it.

A visit is particularly worthwhile if there is an interest in astronomy. In the Karlsaue there is the planet path. In the Orangery there is a wonderful collection of historical astronomical measuring and observation devices. Upstairs is a very nice planetarium. But the Orangery is also simply beautiful from the outside.

When it was founded by Landgrave Carl in 1703, today's palace was actually just the Orangery, which belonged to the City Palace, 400 m away. In the orangery there is a planterarium and the astronomical-physical cabinet - a museum that is currently closed (as of July 2022). There is also a small museum shop and the ticket office for the marble bath in this building.
