Embark on the "Sentiero lo spirito del bosco – loop from Canzo," a moderate hiking trail that winds through a lush, enchanting deciduous forest. As you hike, you will discover numerous whimsical wooden sculptures by artist Alessandro Cortinovis, depicting gnomes, elves, and other magical forest inhabitants, creating a truly imaginative journey. The path varies from comfortable mule tracks to more rugged sections with river crossings and alternating flat and uphill stretches, immersing you in an "enchanted forest" atmosphere.
This trail is particularly well-suited for families, though it is not suitable for strollers due to the varied terrain beyond Prim'Alpe. You can start your adventure from Canzo, following the comfortable mule track towards Prim'Alpe. The loop offers a diverse experience, with the option to return via the Sentiero Geologico, which showcases impressive natural features like giant's kettles and petrifying springs.
