Sasso Malascarpa

Sasso Malascarpa is not a simple rock, but a special conservation area and nature reserve. What is special here is precisely the soil: rich in fossils and evidence of prehistoric times. In this area there is a very developed network of paths, also full of explanatory signs that tell the history of the places you pass through.

Part of the Alto di Canzo Geological Trail, it looks like a wall built by man, but in reality it is the work of nature.
Time and atmospheric agents have carved the stone giving it this appearance.
From here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the 3 horns of Canzo and it is not far (20min) from Monte Rai.
