Crash site off Halifax bomber in 1944

Hiking

A Halifax Bomber DK185 crashed into the moor near Cow and Calf Rocks on January 31, 1944 while on a training exercise. The crew, all young men, were killed in the crash, with all but one coming from Canada. A memorial stone to the crew can be found in the area.
