There are vantage points of the coast and the beach everywhere on the cliffs. Many Viewpoints like this one also have wooden stairs down to the beach. This viewpoint is located on D Street in Encinitas.

D Street comes to an end at the top of some wooden stairs. There is a deck at the top that overlooks the Swami's State Marine Conservation Area out in the ocean and offers access down to the beach.
