The 31 meter high watchtower in As. This is a replica of the derrick with which André Dumont extracted the first coal from the ground in 1901. This tower is located at the station of As and you can visit it for free.
The replica of the derrick is accessible via 130 stairs to a height of 25 meters. The tower is made of wood on the outside, but inside there is an impressive steel construction.
Thanks to the construction of this tower, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama at the top.
