Set up as a mission cross, the inscription on the marble plaque reads: “Re-consecrated by the Ven. P.P. Lazarists from Cologne in the mission held in Caster in 1852 from June 6th to June 20th. Renov (are) and Curav (it) Domina de Meer (renovated and maintained by Mrs. von Meer, mistress of the courtyard behind the crucifixion group)”.
