Monte Rolla, considered the mountain of Sondrio, has a discreet peak visible from Sondrio. Located on the border between Valmalenco and Valtellina, its summit is shared between the municipalities of Sondrio, Torre di S. Maria and Castione. Loved by Professor Ivan Fassin, it offers exceptional panoramic scenery, especially in autumn. Accessible to all, the CAI's "Guida della Valtellina" in 1884 recommended the ascent for the vast panorama, including the Bernina group. Mount Rolla embodies a quiet and evocative place, with a history that is linked to philosophical contemplation.

Enduro mountain biking
From the Ligari area, a trail starts that, passing through Piastorba, reaches Monte Rolla. With an MTB, it is possible to descend from the cross on the promontory to Ligari via the same trail, very difficult. Beware of stones and roots, especially if wet.
