Hiking
The former Vordergasse used to have a curved course, which was redesigned after the great fire in the city in 1728.
Since then, all streets and alleys in the city center have run in a straight line with the market square as the center.
As a thoroughfare on the old trade routes Cologne-Leipzig and Cologne-Frankfurt, there were at times more than 12 restaurants and more than 8 butcher shops located here.
