In 2011 the library moved to the Globus building, a former department store. The premises had to be converted to suit their needs and so a new glass facade was combined with the original Corten steel panels and one of the most beautiful libraries in Slovenia was created.

Not only the exterior but also the interior of the municipal library is extraordinary. From the ground floor to the second floor, the spaces are well thought out and organized depending on the activity to which they are dedicated. The book collection is wide-ranging and suitable for all ages, but there is also a large number of films and lots of music. A variety of cultural and informative events also take place here.
