Via a viaduct leading over the Adenbach valley, the pillars of which still tower into the sky like Schwurfinger, the railway coming from Ringen was supposed to reach Rech through five tunnels, in order to join the Ahr Valley railway there. Construction began in 1910 and construction continued on the project during World War I and thereafter under American occupation. Except for the Adenbachtal viaduct section, the route has been completed. However, when the American occupiers were replaced by the French in 1923, the French imposed an immediate halt to construction.aw-wiki.de/index.php/Gedenkst%C3%A4tte_Silberberg-Tunnel

Between the mountains, the bridge pillars of the planned cannon track appear, one can only guess what was planned and partially implemented here. An exciting search for clues in many places
