Skating
Fort bij de Liebrug was formed to defend the access by the railway, canal and road between Amsterdam. Since the most important defense tasks were performed by the forts at Penningsveer and on the Liede, a smaller defense work could suffice here. In contrast to many other forts, the keel casemates in Fort bij de Liebrug differ in size. Between this fort and the Fort aan de Liede is a remnant of a line wall containing a secondary battery and shard-free shelters.
