It is a place of worship from the Roman era; the Roman sanctuary of Aisillo was built around a body of water located a short distance from the Aiso, a lake of modest size but considerable depth, located in the plain north of Bevagna, which appears to be the seat of a cult already in Umbrian period (6th-5th century BC). The three short excavation campaigns carried out during the summer of 2004, 2005 and 2010 made it possible to bring to light the basin, which constitutes the collection basin of the spring, and some rooms located all around a portico, of which some bases remain and sandstone column drums, and the cocciopesto floor. Two of the rooms located in the north-west arm preserve, on the back wall, traces of the bases for the cult statues; the westernmost room still shows the white mosaic floor, decorated with a band of pink stone tiles, dating back to the first half of the 1st century BC.
