The Stolpersteine are a project by the artist Gunter Demnig that began in 1992. Small memorial plaques, so-called stumbling blocks, laid in the ground are intended to commemorate the fate of the people who were persecuted, murdered, deported, expelled or driven to suicide during the Nazi era. The square brass panels with rounded corners and edges are inscribed with letters inserted manually using a hammer and punch letters. They are supported by a cast concrete cube with an edge length of 96 × 96 and a height of 100 millimeters.[1] They are usually embedded in the pavement or pavement of the respective sidewalk at the same level in front of the last freely chosen homes of the Nazi victims. On May 26, 2023, Demnig laid the 100,000th in Nuremberg. stumbling block. (Source: Wikipedia)
