Church of the Madonna del Rosario also called Church of the Madonna di Tagliavia with the vault and decorated walls, and whose origins date back to a prodigious event. It is said that the Holy Virgin appeared in a dream to a local farmer who had a paralyzed arm, persuading him to build a chapel dedicated to her. Having awakened from his sleep, the farmer began to move his arm and thus decided to dissolve that vow. The chapel was later enlarged to create the current church.

This church is not simply dedicated to the Virgin Mary; often, it bears additional titles, dedicating it to a church feast such as her Immaculate Conception, Nativity, or Assumption. The patronage of this particular shrine, however, carries a special addition: MADONNA DEL ROSARIO. This refers to a prayer that was very popular in the popular piety of earlier times and is still cherished in many parishes and private homes (at least by the older generation).

The Rosary is particularly popular during pilgrimages on foot, as the repetition of each decade by the leader and the response of those praying easily create a meditative atmosphere.
