It was founded in 1691 by the abbot Don Vincenzo Blundo, this pious institution, like other similar ones, came to alleviate a dramatic problem of past centuries, represented by the high number of mothers who died in childbirth. The needy orphans were welcomed, raised and educated in domestic work in these beneficial institutions and finally provided with a dowry for marriage. Exterior: it has a valuable portal, with a baroque Immaculate Conception in relief. Interior: There was a canvas of the Immaculate Conception, painted in the manner of Olivio Sozzi, now removed and kept in a protected place. This female orphanage with its small church replaced a previous conservatory, which was located nearby, founded in 1631 by the archpriest Don Antonio Brandis.

The church of the Santissima Trinita' was the church of the Stabile Orphanage, also called "badia nuova", and was "founded together with the pious institute in 1848 by Don Pietro Stabile. The orphanage, unused after the 1968 earthquake, has a trapezoidal block plan and an internal cloister around which two areas are organised: the night and day area and the worship area with church and sacristy. In the small church, three works by Giuseppe Patania: on the right side Santo Stefano, oil on canvas, 1843; on the main altar Holy Trinity, oil on canvas, 1847; on the left side Saint Peter, 1843.
