The first few meters in Pedro Alvarez are relatively steep, but then a small, quiet road with a pleasant gradient winds up the mountain and takes you into the Anaga Mountains. On top of that, on the way to Cruz del Carmen you will pass another viewpoint with a view of the Teide.

As soon as you leave the top residential area of Pedro Alvarez, it becomes quieter and the incline is MUCH more relaxed ;) I would have liked to have avoided the climb through Tequeste though, it's no fun driving uphill the whole time in traffic.
