Hiking

The Heiderbos is the last extensive juniper heath in Flanders and has been known for generations as the place with the most juniper berries in all of Flanders. With no fewer than 7,000 juniper bushes, the juniper is, next to the yew, our oldest and only conifer species still found in the wild. It is therefore strikingly present in the Heiderbos. natuurenbos.be/natuurbanden/heiderbos
