The Dordrechts Museum, founded in 1842, is one of the oldest museums in the Netherlands and housed in a former monastery in Dordrecht. The museum showcases six centuries of Dutch painting, including works by Aelbert Cuyp, Ary Scheffer, and contemporary artists. In addition to its permanent collections, it regularly hosts temporary exhibitions, such as one on Johan de Witt in 2025. The building combines historic charm with modern architecture and is easily accessible for visitors.
