Tips
The observation deck at Fort Vorwerk offers a nice view of the valley, but it is already a bit old. Worthwhile for birdwatchers, as this part of the forest is very quiet. The platform is part of the "Nordpfad Vörder See - Osteland".

A fallen tree makes access a bit difficult at the moment. The tower itself is getting a bit old. Nevertheless, a beautiful view from the forest out onto the surrounding meadows.

The observation tower is not really worthwhile, but hey, as a hiker you actually take every observation tower with you.
