By 1966, the exterior architecture had been restored, the interior in a modern, sober form with sparing use of decorative elements. With the exception of the tower roof, the exterior shape of the church was essentially restored to its original form during reconstruction.

Information:
The church, begun in 1822, was consecrated in 1827. This building replaced a dilapidated chancel tower church that was approximately 500 years old. It was destroyed in the bombing raid of March 5, 1945. The outer walls of the nave and tower survived. Reconstruction took place between 1953 and 1966.
