The workers' settlement Schüngelberg was built for the miners of today abandoned mining Hugo. Past the settlement leads the Hugo railway line. The Hugo railway line connected the Hugo mine with the railway line from Wanne-Eickel to Gladbeck. Today, the railway line for cycling from the former coal mine to the Rhine-Herne Canal.
