The Napoleon House is a guardhouse and part of the medieval city fortifications; it was redesigned in the Baroque period. During the battle on June 4, 1813, it was militarily attractive for the troops as part of the fortifications. In July 1813, the Luckau merchant Vogt received a famous guest: Napoleon Bonaparte. Chronicles say that he spent the night in a garden house. Today, the romantic-looking house houses an exhibition about the Napoleonic Wars.

On the north promenade in Luckau stands the Wiekhaus, which was part of the medieval city fortifications and is now known as the Napoléonhäuschen (Napoleon House). Napoleon Bonaparte stayed overnight in Luckau in 1813, and the house commemorates his historic stay in the city after the Battle of Luckau. An exhibition inside explores the Napoleonic Wars, the Battle of June 4, 1813, and Napoleon's legacy in the region. A site steeped in history, it offers a glimpse into major events of the past.
