Unfortunately, the Church of St. Gangolf cannot be visited, but it is part of the Hiddenhauser History Trail and not without good reason. After all, the church tower is said to be based on a residential and defensive tower of a Sattelmeierhof, all of which are proven to have been founded in Widukind's time around the year 800. Therefore, the church really forms the historical, as well as today's, center of Hiddenhausen. It was founded in the 13th century.
