Pont Guerrier (Black Bridge)

This highlight is known as the black bridge in Eupen. It is a very nice corner there. Right across the street you can legally pitch your tent.

The Warrior Bridge, contrary to what its name indicates, has nothing to do with any reminiscence of combat! It was built on the initiative of a general guard, a forest engineer named Guerrier. It is also called the "Black Bridge" (Schwarze Brücke in German) because originally, its deck was made of planks covered with tar. It dates from 1890.
