On a clear day, the King’s Ridge provides a fine vantage point for Frensham Little Pond, one of the largest lakes in Surrey, and for the heathland of Frensham Common, one of the finest heathlands in Surrey.

The King’s Ridge runs north-south between Frensham Little Pond and Frensham Great Pond, and is named because King Edward VII reviewed his troops from up here. The Ridge is about 300 feet (90m) above sea level.

The views northeast, across the sandy heathland of Frensham Common to the blue waters of Frensham Little Pond, is beautiful. The scene also displays a soft, silver sand path and colourful vegetation. Depending upon season you may also see yellow gorse and/or magenta heather.
