The Hamburger Berg is a side street of the Hamburg Reeperbahn. Multi-purpose houses and single-story functional buildings in former vacant lots characterize the streetscape. Not far from Große Freiheit and diagonally opposite Hans-Albers-Platz you can find trendy pubs, quaint neighborhood bars and bars frequented by students even on weekdays.
Trendy bars like Rosi's Bar with a 60s attitude, the red Barbarabar, the rocking Headcrash or Roschinskys are lined up next to each other. In the night camp, Ex-Sparr and Bermuda, people dance until the early hours of the morning. The Headcrash and the Pooca Bar, where House, RnB and the better chart hits are played, also represent the club scene on the mountain. There are also tattoo studios on the street, including the oldest tattoo parlor in Germany.
Hamburger Berg is the former name of today's St. Pauli district. It is named after a hill that was located between Millerntor, one of the former city gates, and Nobistor, the entrance to Altona, before the beginning of the 16th century.
Settlement in this area was forbidden for a long time, but more and more craftsmen and businesses who could not do their work in the narrow city because of noise or odors moved to the suburb. This also included the rope makers, also known as Reepschläger, to whom the Reeperbahn owes its name. Other residents included traders, carpenters, carpenters and prostitutes. A gaming booth and a fair were established.

If the Große Freiheit is too touristy and Hans-Albers-Platz is too turbulent for you, head for Hamburger Berg. The nightlife on a side street to the Reeperbahn

There is also a sex cinema and a location with a video peep show and sex shop.

Side street to the Reeperbahn. It's not that hustle and bustle here
