The district of Freudenstein-Hohenklingen with its approximately 1,800 inhabitants fits picturesquely into the surrounding Weissach Valley between vineyards and forests. Freudenstein was first mentioned in a document over 750 years ago (1251), and the name Hohenklingen first appeared in documents 700 years ago (1312).
