A lovely walk in the woods, varied forest operations ongoing with felling, conservation, planting, maintenance etc.

A drizzly day but still a great walk with my little dog. Had to turn round from a couple of track but not too far; either access restrictions or boring route- prefer the tracks in yhe woods opposed to tarmac alongside fields.

Fairmile Bottom is off part of Rewell Wood (Norfolk Estate) which was under lease to the Forestry Commission when I worked there pre 2003.

lots of changes re plantations, felling, coppice and new planted areas.

Worth a walk or ride (careful if wet as very slippery for cycles - chalk/roots etc) better for walking if been raining.
