There's a wire fence separating Loch Beanie on the west and Glen Beanie proper on the east. This track gate is basically the only way between the 2 for bikers. The wooden gate is a lift and slide gate - no hinges.

It's also quite scenic here with an adjacent hillock that's good for the views and maybe a break. The fence/gate marks the boundary of the Cairngorms National Park; Loch Beanie to the west is in the park.
