The Sydney Opera House is one of Australia's most recognizable landmarks, making it a must-see for anyone visiting the city. Located on Sydney Harbour, it offers stunning views of the city skyline and the famous harbor bridges.

The opera house opened in 1973 and is considered one of the best opera houses in the world. Numerous opera, ballet and theater performances are staged here every year, but concerts and other cultural events are also held here.

A visit to the Sydney Opera House is also recommended for those who are not big fans of classical music. The architecture of the building is simply breathtaking and invites you to take a guided tour where you can learn more about the history and importance of the place.

In addition, the opera house also offers a restaurant and a bar, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the harbour.

Frankly, what would a stay in Sydney be without seeing the Opera...there isn't much more to say about it

The beattiful Sydney Opera House is one of the striking and famous buildings of the 20th century and the symbol of Sydney. It goes back to the design of the Danish architect and Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Jørn Utzon (1918-2008). After 14 years of construction, it was opened in 1973 by Elizabeth II, then Queen of Australia.

The Sydney Opera House was inscribed on the Australian National Heritage List on 12 July 2005 and on the UNESCO World Heritage List on 28 June 2007. Denmark today regards the opera house as part of its cultural heritage and included it in Denmark's cultural canon in 2006. The construction costs of the opera increased by a factor of 14.3 during the construction phase and the completion was delayed by several years.
