Sweet Violette

In 1982, Jean-Claude Servais drew a 139-page graphic novel (screenplay by Gérard Dewamme), first published in black and white and in episodes, then in color in the form of seven albums. This novel tells the story of Violette, a young pregnant wildling, with dissolute morals that do not please the villagers.
This fresco was created in 2003. But, given its poor state of conservation, the wall was repaired in 2013, and the fresco reproduced identically to the original. Proof if any were needed of the interest shown by our Belgian friends in comics in general, and in the frescoes dedicated to them and which can be found almost everywhere in the country (Text: Michel LEMOINE - photos taken in November 2014).
