The estate, located in the forest between Heusenstamm and Dietzenbach, dates back to the founding of a Benedictine monastery, which probably took place in 806. After changing - secular and ecclesiastical - owners, the estate came under the sovereignty of Hesse in 1816 and has belonged to the city of Heusenstamm since 1978, along with its fields and forest. The farm is managed by the Ommert family, who produce beef, pork and lamb products in their own slaughterhouse. We work according to the criteria of Demeter agriculture, which is committed to species-appropriate animal husbandry and sustainable management. The specialty of the farm is the meat from Angus beef. You can also buy vegetables, grains, potatoes, fruit and baked goods in the farm shop. In the summer months from May to October and when the weather is nice, the Hofgut opens its garden. Sitting comfortably under old trees, you can enjoy grilled food from the farm butcher's shop together with homemade potato salad. Or take a break to treat yourself to something thirst-quenching.
