Mountain biking
Definitely a highlight. You can easily cycle up the road; the gradient is moderate. There's also a path down, which I also cycled, but it's actually only intended for pedestrians. During peak season, there are probably far too many people here to cycle down.

The Venetian castle of Nafpaktos (also known as the Castle of Lepanto) is considered one of the best-preserved medieval fortifications in the country.
The fortress is usually open from 08:00 to 20:00 (last admission at 19:30). The complex is closed on Tuesdays. The small museum inside usually closes in the afternoon around 15:30.
The regular admission price is €5, with reduced tickets costing €3. Reduced rates apply during the winter months (November to March).
