The tower is part of the Beeskow city wall. The remains of the wooden battlement with its stairs still stood here until 1855. The section between the Stork Tower and the Coin Tower was still undeveloped until 1867.

Hiking
In 1907, the repair work on this tower was completed on September 2nd. Perhaps the parapet was renewed at that time without any battlements (which may have existed in the past). The substation could not have been added until the twenties or thirties of our century. But even before that, photos show a stable building there. The section from the "Storchenturm" to the Münzturm was still undeveloped before 1867, as can be seen from a drawing in the Potsdam State Archive. Perhaps the last remains of the wooden battlement with its stairs were still in this section until 1855.
