The church of Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios is located in the square of the same name and is dedicated to the parish's patron saint, the Virgin of Perpetual Help. It was built between 1513 and 1518 and was later expanded several times. In 1996 the church was destroyed by fire and with it part of the historical and artistic heritage, which was one of the most important in the community. The Madonna statue, which dates from 1733, was replaced a year after the fire by a work by the Cádiz artist Luis González Rey.
