The Catholic Church of St. Remigius dates back to Carolingian times. It was a Franconian hall church that was converted into a three-aisled Romanesque pillar basilica around 1181. The tower of the church was added to the Romanesque nave around 1350. Today's late Gothic church building was built in 1484.
