Hiking Highlight
Since 1893, a steel observation tower has stood on the Hochsteinchen. From the uppermost platform your gaze wanders over the Hunsrück, the Middle Rhine Valley and even into the Taunus - at least as long as the surrounding spruce trees are lower than the tower.

An iron spiral staircase leads to the tower, first to a central platform, then to the upper platform, each of which leads around it as a narrow bridge with railings.
The stairs and the platforms are not made of gratings, but steel plates, so the risk of dizziness - especially when descending - is somewhat reduced.

The way to the Hochsteinchen is always beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.

Airy tower, perhaps not recommended for people with dizziness problems. The view is nice.
