This is where the powder was produced and the projectiles were manufactured. At the end of the 19th century, the building was raised to make way for a military dovecote. Pigeons provided communication in times of armed conflict. In 1951 the building took its current form and became a mess (canteen) for officers. Since 1990 it has served as a studio for the Namur perfumer Guy Delforge.
