The pedestrian zone in Holstebro was inaugurated in 1962 and is one of the oldest in Denmark. In 2001, the municipality began to renew the stone covering of the road; and as an artistic consultant Bjørn Nørgaard developed the concept. In addition, Bjørn Nørgaard is the artist who created the art circles in the pedestrian zone; these bear the names: Odin's Eye, Source of Life and Jesus' Hand. Around the pedestrian area and in the side streets there is a long line of internationally recognized works of art. Alberto Giacometti's "Frau af dem Karren" is in front of the "Old Town Hall".There is a long line of versatile shops, footwear and leather goods, and a wide and interesting selection of goods in the small shops.
Along the pedestrian street you will find cafes and restaurants where you can experience the cozy environment and enjoy delicious food and meals.visitholstebro.de/de/westjutland/shopping/shopping-holstebro
